Ruathain was a Rigante cattle herder from Three Streams, whose prowess in battle earned him the title of First Warrior. He was a cousin, close friend and sword brother of Varaconn. After Varaconn's death, Ruathain married his widow Meria and adopted his son Connavar, raising the boy as his own.
Appearance[]
Ruathain had a large, powerful build. His hair was blond, as was the drooping moustache that sat on his broad, flat face.[1] He was considered a handsome man by his fellow villagers.[2]
