Aldania was the daughter of the Drenai king Orien. After her brother's death she fled to Gulgothir and there met the Angostin knight Elphons whom she married and then became duchess of Kydor. Her child was named after her brother Niallad she was betrayed and murdered by lord Aric lord Panagyn and Eldicar Manushan. Her son Niallad who fears that his uncle's murderer Waylander will kill him flees with the assasin after hearing Waylander's name and threatens to kill him but then lowers his bow. But his horse rears and he accidentally shoots Waylander. []
